The 2019 Oracle Investment Vault portfolio encompasses 27 of the most well positioned companies to deliver long-term wealth creation for investors. Companies are selected on the basis of competitive strengths, financial stability, and growth prospects. We search for company's that operate as monopolies or oligopolies within their given markets providing them with considerable competitive advantages that enable long term revenue and asset expansion. The diagram below depicts the performance of our Oracle Investment Vault Portfolio over the past 9 years. If investors had made absolutely no portfolio adjustments over the past 9 years, they would have attained a 500% return on investment, nearly double that of the S&P 500's 260% return. However, this visual representation of portfolio growth does not account for our annual portfolio readjustments and reinvested dividends; in actually, returns superseded the benchmark S&P 500 index by an even larger margin.
What Is Our Investment Philosophy?
In the investment world, there is a distinct difference between speculation and strategic asset allocation. Our investment philosophy encompasses three pillars of distinction that ensure long term wealth creation. When analyzing potential investment opportunities we ask ourselves a number of questions that fall within the following parameters: 1) how strong is the company, is it resistant to market share erosion, does it have a distinctive competitive moat, are there few competitors, does it operate in monopolistic or ogopolistic markets 2) what are the expected returns, does the business have a stable growth trajectory, does it pay a dividend, what is the dividend track record, 3) does the company have sufficient liquidity reserves, does it have significant debt impediments, what is the dividend payout ratio, is the stock fairly valued (based on a discounted cash flow analysis). Out of all of those questions three of the most important inquiries involve the competitive strength of the business, its current valuation, and future anticipated performance. We take great care to research and carefully assess dozens upon dozens of stocks in order form well substantiated conclusions about a businesses long-term potential and competitive positioning.
